Track on Wednesday
I had some issues with my car... most my fault. I ran a belt even after I lost a rib. It shredded and damaged the pulley seal by the supercharger. I discovered I had re-installed the brackets without the proper shims and shredded another belt damaging another seal. Apparently belts don't last long when the pulley is 1/2 rib off. I've replace the seal (twice because I didn't do it right the first time). I changed out the belt tensioner (after 150,000 miles it got a little weak). And, I think my car is ready to run again. I'm planning on going to the track this Wednesday (weather permitting). Anyone else going to be there?

If you plan on going, give me a call. I would like to hit the track a few times before I move.

I didn't go. At 4:00 when I checked the weather it look like a storm was about to hit Indy. I'm going to try to go there this Wednesday if its not raining. The forecast is for spotted showers. I think the car's running go. The drag radials are on. I just need a break in the weather. I'm hoping to get into the 12s.

Made it (but not by much). Best time was 12.97. Next time I'm shooting for 12.8.

Re: Track on Wednesday
On the spur of the moment I went last week. The weather was a little cooler and I ran a 12.73 @ 111.36. That my best time so far. But I'm still learning how to launch on drag radials and I'm bogging down. My 60' was a 1.94. I had a 1.8 60' last time at the track so I think the car has a 12.5 pass in it if I do everything right.
The best pass was the second one. I was beside a Pontiac G8. He got me out of the hole. His reaction time was .435 faster than mine so he had nearly a half second head start. But I immediately started closing the gap. Unfortunately the track was a little too short. He won by 5/100th of a second. But it was fun.
