Bug Remover - Home Remedy

Post by JH96GT on Fri Feb 29, 2008 9:32 pm

Just a tip from a Gulf Coast boy who has had to fight w/ love bugs most of his driving life. If you don't know what love bugs are, feel fortunate. They are the tiny black spawns from hell that fly around w/ their butts stuck together in massive hords, and seemingly love to suicide themselves in large masses on the front of your vehicle. I've literally had to pull over while driving and pour coca-cola (yes it works) on the windshield and wipe to be able to see. (I ran through a heavy patch).

Anyway, this works for any bugs.

The tip: A fabric softner sheet :*naughty*:

Just wet it while washing the car and wipe the front end down. Peels the bugs right off w/ minimal elbow grease and wont' hurt the paint. You just need to re-soap and rinse to remove the film.

Let me know how it works for you, I've been doing it for years.

I was talking about the big rig. I know the bugs exist. I have seen them before in Illinois.

Having lived in South Fl. for 23 years, I have seen the front of vehicles looking just like the one in the pic. Those things are nasty! When the are in season, they can be as thick as fog. Shocked
