Tires for a wet track? Empty Tires for a wet track?

Post by crazyassracing Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:18 am

I'm running Gingerman Raceway with Three Balls Racing this weekend. The weather forecast is for thunderstorms. I've never run on a wet track before. I'm considering running my performance all seasons instead of my more track orientated summer only Pilot Sports. Anyone have some wet track advice they'd like to pass on?

I'd run the all season's. I did not do a HPDE in the wet but I have done AutoX in the wet and was very happy I had the Sport all season tires on. If anything bring the Dry tires and if it clears up throw them on.

Man, I don't have the space for that, what with my tools and canopy, folding chairs, air compressor, slurpy machine & massage chair.

Tim's not used to having to worry about that. He has plenty of room with nothing under the hood.

They are running Sunday counter clockwise. Saturday is normal direction. We are running the long track though. I've run it once or twice before. The long route is rough on my brakes.

No rain at the track Saturday, and the new LSD worked out wonderfully. I was really able to power out of the corners better.
