need some help

A friend has a 87 LX that is having some issues. The car has a hesitation when he gets in to the throttle. If he eases in to it it acts fine, only if he gets on it harder and takes the RPM's up does it act up. I guess it has been doing this a while. He just replaced the distributer in it. I know it was set to TDC and timed. I helped him get the timing set. I also verified all the plug wires are correct. He said he will come by the meeting on sat. So if anyone has any ideas it would be apreciated.

Sounds like the Fuel system. He may have a clogged fuel filter or maybe a bad pump. I'll be out there this evening and i'll take a gander and see. I've run into the same problem with 2 other cars recently with the exact same issues and it's been fuel issues.

i am thinking the same thing. i helped him put a new filter in it last night. it had not been changed in a while.
