yes or no
ok as some of you may know i bought an irs set up.the question is do i put it in my car or sell it and make some cash. first lets start by saying that my car will never be a drag car or a auto cross car.althought it might go to both here and there but thats it.i also dont drive it everyday.it has plans on alot of car shows and parades and ofcourse all the club events.just not shure it is worth tearing the car down again.will it get me bonus points at shows or will other mustang people say wow he has irs in a 95.also i am concernd about it holding up with my n2o set up and the fact that i like to smoke the tires alot! anyway you all get my point so lets hear what you all have to say and help me make a choice.thanks

Re: yes or no
I was a little shocked when you said you got one for your can only because I know you don't plan on doing anything that would utilize the IRS. If you drove the car more I would say you would love having the IRS in your car.
In my opinion you would be better off spending your $ on appearance or go faster mods.

Re: yes or no
Brad you already know my vote. I'm an old man that has been around cars all his life. I've thrown so much money away on stuff I never really needed, It makes me ill thinking about it. You have a wife and family. Take the cash. Your car looks better that I ever thought it could when you pulled it off of that trailer scraping the exhaust all the way. Enjoy the car! You could go crazy adding stuff to it. Take some advise from someone who has been there, if you can't feed your family with it you don't need it. Some day you'll decide you are tired of the car and sell it of give it to one of your kids. hopefully you'll still have that money in the savings account when you do.

Re: yes or no
If you were even going to drive it more, I would say use it. But if your not and you don't want to bunny hop down the street trying to do a burn out, then sell the IRS. Only way anyone would see it at a show is if you turn it on its side.
Sell the IRS.
Sell the IRS.

Re: yes or no
Are you going to turn a nice profit on the IRS? If so, I'd say SELL! Would the time, effort, and extra expenses to install the IRS be worth it if you don't drive it much? You could do a some nice appearance mods that would really make it the "trophy getter" you want it to be at those car shows (especially under the hood, dressing that up would help with those appearance points), plus you may have enough left over for some go-faster mods, too.
BTW, it was cool hearing your name and car being called up for that trophy last year. It kinda made us all proud that one of us did so well, especially after all that hard work you put into it. Hell, I was pumped up after that whole deal, made me really want to get my car looking better!

Re: yes or no
Sell the IRS... If you're not going to race the car then it's not really needed... As for shows, well if it's one were the cars are judged by the people, then most don't know what an IRS is or don't care. All they care about then is just how cool the car looks.

Re: yes or no
thanks for the input guys i got the irs for a great deal so i could make some good cash but i was thinking last night and i may just put it in the wifes car she drives it everyday and her strait axle is getting really sloppy plus this would be a step up in gears for her as well.the irs has 3:73's in it

KIDS Can't tell them anything. I guess as long as it's paid for do what you must. I'd rather have the security of a little cash sitting around if I ever needed it. Good luck with it.
