Veterens day parade, Nov. 8th, we can be in the parade!

After some discussion and Logans personal efforts at City Hall, it looks as if the are going to wave any entry fee and find a place for us as participants in this years parade!!! As soon as more info is available, I will post times, locations etc.!

If this all works out, let's be certain to show our support for our military veterans and their dedication to this great country! :^drunk^:

I will attend if i can get this dofuss to finish my car on time.... i will be there.

UPDATE ----

We are in! We will need to meet at Hooters parking lot on Riverside Dr. at 8:30 am on Sat. Nov 8th. We will roll out no later than 9 am to line u for the parade at Kraft St. and 8Th st. This will be a LONG parade going through and around the downtown area. There will be media coverage and we will be announced as we pass the media location. We are entry #167. Again, a big thanks to Logan for making the trip to City Hall for me and getting us entered! :*woohoo*:

IMPORTANT!!!! Absolutely no candy or any other items are be tossed out the window during the parade and good driving conduct is demanded. If we want to do this in the future, we need to abide by these rules.

I would like to get some antenna flags if I can find them. Eddie also suggested signs on the cars of active and former military club members with name, title and dates of service. If anyone has thoughts on that, let me know.

Can I make a sign and put it on the car like for nick unit?
I dont have any problem makeing the sign but how are we supose to hang them or put them on the cars? I guess I can tape it on the back window and the antina flag is an awsome Idea. let me know if you find any.

Donna, that will be fine. I was thinking something on the sides and possible just taped to the side windows (open all but an inch or so) so they hang down on the doors. As for the flags, no luck yet. Anyone know where to find any??

Try the Party Store, Deals, also check with Veterans Adminstartion, possibly some of the parts store. Also check some of the realty offices, I see them use flags during July as advertisement..

Flags, not yet. I will try tonight to find some. Signs, I will get some small posterboard, markers and tape and we can make them up in the morning for those who want them.

We can come up with plenty of club member vets.
Currently overseas:
Sherri's husband is a must, Jermaine, Daniel, Matt, Nick, Travis, "Red" and a couple more faces I can picture, but names don't come to me.
Past, there are plenty as well, I'll be nice and allow some the opportunity for them to speak for themselves. There are a couple at that age where they may have forgotten. Maybe just embarrassed to show their age. LOL
Steven and I will be there with our Proud to be a Veteran shirts on.
